Ron McCoy - Pastor
Email Ron

Hi, I’m Pastor Ron, I have been the pastor of Cameron Baptist Church for 10 years and what a joy it has been.

My wife Sandy and I have been married for 47 plus years. We have two children a son Rev. Brian McCoy and a daughter Leanne Dobbs, plus four grandsons and one granddaughter.

I retired from Bayer Corporation in 1997 and graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Religion the same year. Plus I am currently enrolled in Faith Bible Institute which is a three year Bible School Degree program.

2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.    KJV

Studying the Word of God is a life long commitment for me and I hope it would be the same for every one.

My call as pastor, is to shepherd the flock at Cameron Baptist Church and to reach our Jerusalem with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.

I would like to invite you to come and worship the Lord with us.

In His Service

Pastor Ron

Dustin Cowden - Associate/Youth Pastor
Email Dustin

My name is Dustin Cowden I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. I accepted Christ as my Lord and savior when I was eleven years old. I knew God had a plan for my life so I surrendered to ministry when I was fourteen years old. I met my wife Stefanie while attending seminary in Ft. Worth. We were married in March 2007. This August Cameron Baptist church called me as Associate pastor and to minister to the youth of Cameron. My wife and I have a heart for young people. We desire them to learn that God has a plan for their lives like Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We are looking forward to ministering and serving Cameron for many years to come.

Judy Porter - Secretary
Email Judy

I am truly blessed to have the position of secretary at Cameron Baptist Church. What a joy it is to work  in the house of my Father and to serve my Lord and the members of my "church family".
The church office is open from 9am to 3pm Monday through Thursday and 9am until noon on Friday (and sometimes a 'wee bit' longer). Please call if I can be of any assistance to you @ 686-3301.

Charles Matthews - Deacon
Email Charles

Hi, my name is Chuck Matthews.  I have lived in Cameron all my life.  I graduated from Cameron High School in June of 1967 and I went to work for the US Postal Service in Cameron that same year.  This past November made 40 years as a City Carrier. I am married to Judy (Hubbs). and we have 2 boys David (17) and Jonathan (12). We have been members of Cameron Baptist Church since 1999.

God has blessed my life in so many ways, with a wonderful wife and 2 great boys who serve the Lord in any way they can. And also with a loving church family.

I have known Jesus and what He has done for me all my life as God blessed me with wonderful parents and grandparents who taught this to me starting at an early age and this is why I choose to serve the Lord. I urge all of you parents and grandparents to do the same with your children and grandchildren because how will they know unless someone teaches them, and if you yourself do not know about Jesus and what he did for you then I urge you to ask Pastor Ron or the Deacons to tell you how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus.

I consider it a great honor and a humbling experience to serve as one of your Deacons and I hope you will call on us to minister to your family needs.

            MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

            Chuck Matthews

Bob Hill - Deacon

Peace be with you. I am one of the four deacons ordained by the church to help our Pastor. As he uses his time to study, pray, draw closer to God and bring to us His Word, we can help take care of  the things in the church that need done to keep it strong and growing.

I gave my heart to my Lord on October 3, 1984. I had just lost my Dad. For two days I thought my whole world had ended even though I had a great wife and three wonderful children. God took me by the hand, helped me up and gave me back my world.

I have been studying, learning and growing in the Lord each day. Through my prayer life I have learned to be obedient and listen to God speak, letting Him lead me in the things I attempt in my life.

I am excited with this new adventure  and I pray that with God, I can bring all of you on the adventure with Kandee and I.
